Our All-In-One Solution: Sol Sheds™

EcoDepotUSA's most popular system is the Sol Shed™. The Sol Shed™ is a self contained solar electric generating station that revolutionizes the way PV solar systems are constructed. The biggest advantage of the Sol Shed™ is all electrical components are out of your house.

It comes with everything you need built-in. The PV panels mount directly on the roof with roof mounts which are easily adjusted. The inverter and batteries are all self contained within the Sol Shed™. A DC exhaust fan and lights are mounted inside and a generator can also be installed if required.

The Sol Shed™ is a self contained super insulated shed that is built on treated skids and requires no foundation. It can be moved and transported and is very modular. The shed can be located out of sight in the Ideal location or it can be permanently bolted to piers or foundation - we just run regular service wire to your house.

The Sol Shed™ is constructed of structurally insulated panels (SIPS). This gives a tight and insulated building that houses the electronics and or batteries components of your renewable energy system. We originally came up with the concept so we could drop a self contained power system on site to use to build a home with. The Sol Shed™ advantages are that there are no components within or on the existing home. By containing the components together in a small area we can reduce wiring and labor costs by building them off site in our warehouse. We then ship them out either fully built and ready to wire into the building or broken down into pallets ready to assemble within a day.

The shed comes in two sizes. One is a 6’x 8’ footprint with 120 square feet of roof space. The second larger shed is 8’ x 12’ footprint with approx. 200 square feet of roof space.

The Sol Shed™ requires clear access to the southern sky. Therefore if the site is heavily treed or there are buildings blocking your southern exposure we would not recommend the Sol Shed™. The other option would be to install a pole mount array at the proper height.

Another advantage of the Sol Shed™ is that it could be moved to a new location on site or loaded up and taken with you when you move.
